A dinosaur visits Westcliffe Primary School

PUPILS at a Scunthorpe school were given the chance to meet and interact with dinosaurs in the flesh!

As part of Dinosaur Discovery week, students at Westcliffe Primary School learnt all about the prehistoric creatures in sessions at the school yesterday (Friday, June 9).

The highlight of the day came when a packed assembly hall full of kids screamed as a Tyrannosaurus Rex wandered into the room, accompanied by a dino trainer.

But before the T-Rex arrived, the children got the chance to learn about fossils and why dinosaurs became extinct. They were asked questions before the trainer left the room and returned with Jack - a baby dinosaur
