Layers of earth and volcanoes

In 3/4 S we have been investigating the layers of the earth and volcanoes. We made our own models of the earth by using a marble as the earth’s core, play dough as the mantle and sand as the earth’s crust. Then we looked at volcanoes and eruptions which we found very exciting and looking at eruptions such as the Kilauea eruption in Hawaii.
