Welcome to the start of the summer term. We all hope you all had an enjoyable Easter break? The term ahead is a particularly busy one, especially for those in Year 2 and Year 6 as they move towards our formal SATs assessments in May. It is therefore essential that children are in school during this busy time. SATs meetings for parents and carers will be held on Tuesday 19th April at 3:20pm and should you have any concerns then this would be the ideal opportunity to raise them.
Year 1 and year 2’s topic this term is Seaside Rescue/Under the Sea; the year 3 and 4 topic is Healthy Planet, Healthy Me and years 5 and 6 will be learning about Brazil. More details about the coverage in each topic can be found in the ‘Curriculum’ section of this website.
The Parents’ Forum continues to flourish and after a discussion at a recent meeting, the suggestions box has now been relocated to the Entrance Foyer in the hope that this will encourage more suggestions to come in. The most recent minutes are posted in the ‘Parents Forum’ section on the website.
I would once again like to remind any parents whose personal circumstances may have recently changed that you may be eligible to apply for Pupil Premium (which comes with a clothing grant). Letters were sent to all parents during the spring term but should you require any further information please ask at the office. You can still apply even if you are unsure if you are eligible.
We look forward to seeing you some time this term at one of our many open events.
