RE: What a Wonderful World?

What a Wonderful World.

As a class we looked at the term 'stewardship' which is a noun with the definition: 'the job of supervising or taking care of something'.

In the bible:

Genesis 1:26
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Psalm 8:6
You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority.

We looked at a PowerPoint below and compared it to the one above with Louis Armstrong's version.

We listened to Louis Armstong's What a Wonderful World song whilst watching the PowerPoint below.

What do you think the children thought having seen this PowerPoint and discussing the damage caused by humans?

The children then made their own poems to express what they thought we should keep to maintain our 'Wonderful World'.

Here are two examples:

Let’s Keep it blue
The sea

The sky
Let’s keep it green
The rainforest
The grass
Let’s keep it healthy
The plants
The animals
It’s up to you
It’s up to me
The animals
The plants
The sea
The sky
Let’s keep it
Let’s keep it.

Let’s Keep it white
The beautiful snow

The fluffy clouds
Let’s keep it healthy
The animals
The wonderful world
Let’s keep it red
The delicious apples
The miniscule ladybirds
It’s up to you
It’s up to me
The clouds
The world
The ladybirds
The apples
Let’s keep it
Let’s keep it.

We then asked this question.

What 'Stewardship' qualities are you going to show to help us keep our Wonderful World?
