RE - What a Wonderful World.

What a Wonderful World.

As a class we looked at the term 'stewardship' which is a noun with the definition: 'the job of supervising or taking care of something'.

In the bible:

Genesis 1:26
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Psalm 8:6
You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority.

We looked at a PowerPoint of the all the damage that is happening around the world as a result of human interference and damage to the environment. In the background the children listened to What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong.

The children then made some poems about the things they wish to keep in our Wonderful World.

Here are two examples.

Let’s Keep it aqua
The sea

The sky
Let’s keep it healthy
The animals
The world
Let’s keep it green
The trees
The grass
It’s up to you
It’s up to me
The sea
The sky
The animals

The world
Let’s keep it
Let’s keep it.

Let’s keep it pure
The water
The air
Let’s keep it healthy
The creatures
The people
It’s up to you
It’s up to me
The rainforests
The trees
The water

The air
Let’s keep it
Let’s keep it.
