In the Foundation Stage we learn about how to keep ourselves safe when we are around roads. We talk about what we need to do to stay safe and look at books about people who help keep our roads safe for us. We also go out onto the road and practise crossing it in a safe manner. If we have shown that we can do this, we earn a certificate to say that we have completed our Road Safety Training.
Following our training, the children were able to tell us…
“You need to hold a grown-up's hand”
“When you get to the road you have to ‘Stop, Look and Listen’”
“If you don’t you could get very hurt”
