Sam's Safari

Visit from Sam’s Safari – 1CA

Sam’s Safari came to visit us. They brought lots of animals for us to see and hold. Sam told us lots about each animal – what they ate and where they lived. Some of the animals came from Africa.  We held a stick insect, a millipede (whose feet tickled our hands), a snake (!) and a giant snail. The snail left slime on our hands. We stroked the frogs and had to make sure our hands were wet to do this so we didn’t hurt them. We also had to be very quiet when we met the frogs so they didn’t get startled and jump away. The Tortoise was enormous and walked around the room so we could feel and touch its shell.

We were very brave and careful holding the animals.
