Westcliffe Primary School

'Our school is committed to inspirational teaching that develops aspirational young people.'

Welcome back!

It is now the summer term and we have an exciting new topic to get started on: Romans. During this topic, we will be using both our history and geography skills to learn about the Roman civilisation and how it shaped Europe at the time. We will be developing our map skills to discover how the Romans expanded into Europe and how they eventually withdrew when the civilisation fell! Excitingly, we will also be going on a trip this term to find out more about these interesting people and if they had a role in our area.

This term also marks the return of the big S: SATS! The Year 6’s will sit these in May and have all been working hard to prepare and I’m sure they will try their best which is all we expect from them!

Our PE days remain the same: Monday and Wednesday. Hopefully we will see some lovely weather coming up and be able to get outside more! Children should remember to bring their kits on both of these days as it can affect their Good Choices eligibility.
