Well, we certainly have a jam-packed autumn term ahead of us! We are kicking off our Literacy delving into the fantastic book, The Night Gardener by the Fan Brothers. It’s a lovely story about how a stranger’s generosity changes the lives of a community and a boy called William forever.
We have our swimming lessons this term. Who knows…maybe this could be the beginning of someone following in the footsteps of Adam Peaty? Anything is possible! Is it too soon to think about the 2028 Olympics?
Later in the term we will be exploring the history of the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. Excitingly, we will be taking a trip to the Jorvik Viking Centre in York, where we will be able to get up, close and personal to artefacts and overload on information about the infamous Vikings. As an extra treat we are all going to get the chance to become archaeologists, digging for artefacts across the ages, and also take part in a Viking Sagas workshop.
Finally, we will have the Christmas period and all the frivolities that come with it! In science, we will be exploring the physics of electricity and have a go at designing our own festive illuminations!
Please keep checking our page to see all the exciting things we will be getting up to over the year!
