Autumn Term 2017 Introduction

This half term we are learning all about World War 2. So far we have enjoyed experiencing our very own classroom air raid and tasting a WW2 recipe: parsnip whip. We have also started to read our class text, Letters from the Lighthouse and are really enjoying it so far! We are looking forward to our first trip of the year to the Holocaust Centre where we follow a child’s journey through their experience of the Holocaust.

As part of our topic we will also experiencing some time in our real-life Anderson Shelter and we will be creating our very own ‘Dig for Victory’ vegetable patch. So keep your eyes peeled when walking to school!

At the end of this half term, we will be hosting a Harvest Festival. We will also be presenting our class assembly during December so make sure you keep checking the diary for upcoming dates.
