Recreating the layers of the Earth
In order to understand how volcanoes, mountains, tsunamis and earthquakes occur, we learned about the layers of the Earth. We recreated Earth using a marble for the core, dough for the mantle and soil to demonstrate just how thin the crust is.
We also took apart oranges and used the peel (the crust) to help us understand how the tectonic plates work.
