Maths - Stage Investigation
Our topic this term is Roald Dahl and we are also doing an exciting project with the Royal Ballet, therefore we have decided to bring it all together with a performance on the Westcliffe Stage.
When researching theatres and set design we realised our stage needed a bit of revamping!
In D.T. we have produced our set design and built our model sets however before we could start the actual set we had to accurately measure different parts of the stage.
We decided to do this in maths so that we could practice our measuring skills and apply our knowledge of perimeter and area.
We also had to problem solve to work out certain aspects of our set. For example, the mosaic backdrop and how many bricks were needed for the house.
