Westcliffe Primary School
'Our school is committed to inspirational teaching that develops aspirational young people.'
Izzy from Sam’s Safari came into school for the day with a variety of animals such as a :snake, an armadillo, leaf insects, a giant millipede and a waxy tree frog.
All the children got to touch the different animals and learnt all about their properties. The children found out what an exo-skeleton is and learnt that a millipede has one! This means that their skeleton is on the outside of their bodies.
The clear favourite was Holliday the Armadillo, who had some strange hairs on her back. A lot of the time though she tried to hide under her mat!
